Yoga environments and academy’s are everywhere and pretty much always far removed from idyllic cliches.  Yoga is about mind and body. It is as much alive in the city as on a remote beach. We captured this urban and realism vibe by photographing just outside the city of Nottingham, within the Embankment bridge area, with lanes of rush hour traffic thundering past us towards the city.  We waited time and time again on the bridge for it to be clear, particularly from commuter cyclists. Then followed many hours of post-production to make the ground cleaner in order it did not detract from the subject.  The shoot statement is clear: “yoga is for the city.”
